Air India connects with India Post for Logistics Post Services

Air India has signed up with India Post for the carriage of Logistics Post f.f. June 17, 2013. This is a new product that differs from regular mail.  This service is available from a total of 15 airports, including the six metro and Agartala, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Imphal, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram. The logistics speed post  mail is posted by the customer's post office (DOP), which is accepted by DOP for transportation from the airport to the airport, from city to city or from door to door.  Air India will merge India Post for the aviation segment. The combination with Logistics Post Air Services is expected to contribute to a lower market penetration for Air India as well as higher airline freight costs.
